Arlo’s Story

History:  Arlo was turned into an animal control in Chicago.  She was pregnant and had her kittens at animal control.

About:  Despite already having a litter of her own, Arlo is still a kitten herself.  She had to grow up fast so she is very mature. Arlo was a great mom, attentive and loving but not the helicopter type.  She loves attention and can be pet anywhere. She also loves to be held, something not always common with cats. Arlo is not terribly interested in toys, she loves to just lounge around in your presence and watch the world outside the windows when you’re busy.  Her foster mom said she is the perfect cat! Arlo is being fostered with 2 dogs. She was initially afraid of the more forward dog, but they’ve become comfortable with each other now. She has a pretty live-and-let-live personality. The resident cat isn’t too fond of her, but that’s on him, not her. We think that Arlo would be very content in homes with other pets as long as they are kind to her as she is not particularly bold or confident at first.  We also think Arlo would do just fine with respectable children if she is given a little time to get comfortable and confident with them. She loves attention so she should quickly learn that kids have hands and a lot of free time!
