Daryl Dixon’s Story

History:  Daryl was a stray from an animal control facility.

About:  This dog is awesome and loves everyone and everything.  He has been great with every dog that he has met (big, little, female, male, senior etc.), and doesn’t get his feathers ruffled if a dog doesn’t like him.  He loves all people he has met and we think he would be excellent with children.  Daryl Dixon was cat tested at animal control and he was curious but appropriate.  He was in a short term foster home with cats and he did not chase, but was friendly and curious.  We think he could be integrated into a home with a friendly outgoing cat using proper techniques.  Daryl might stress out a cat (or dog) that wants to be left alone because he is so social and outgoing.  Daryl has done well with crating, and has been non-destructive when confined to a laundry room for periods when his foster home is not home.  Daryl is a quiet dog and would be a great option for someone in an apartment or a condo.  He has more of a medium energy level.  He does not need to be run for hours a day, but he will need some moderate daily exercise: Playing with other dogs, walks, playing in the yard, etc.  He is well behaved in the car and has overall excellent manners.
