Fifi’s Story

History: Fifi was brought into Animal Control during one of our CRISP shifts. ( Her owners said they were no longer able to care for her due to an illness in the family.  She was a well loved and cared for pet before being surrendered.  Our vet even mentioned that she was clearly well cared for based on her physical condition.

About:  Fifi is a very easy senior who is not very demanding.  She enjoys spending most of her day alternating between her favorite napping spots.  She will ask you to lift her onto the couch to sit next to you or on your lap but if you’re doing a lot of moving or adjusting she will get off, glare at you, and go to her more peaceful bed.  Fifi is generally very quiet and only barks to alert you that someone is at the door, to let you know that she needs to go out, or when she feels that she deserves some attention.  Fifi is comfortable with both potty pads, and going outside.  Fifi is very friendly but would do best with children who can be conscious of a small breed senior dog.  She gets along very well with the dog and cats in her foster home.  Although Fifi spends most of her time napping she gets very excited and animated when her foster mom gets home from work because she has realized that it is feeding time!  She runs to to kitchen enthusiastically to “get ready” for her meal.  Fifi is a great match for someone who wants a very low energy, very easy companion.
