Katie’s Story

History:  Katie is from an open admission shelter.

About:  Katie is being fostered with a small senior dog and two cats and gets along well with everyone.  Her foster home only says great things about her and would have considered adopting her, but they feel their dog is too old and crabby for Katie.  Maybe you have a dog who needs a buddy? Katie LOVES other dogs. She’s become BFF with the dog across the street from her foster home and she also loves to play with the neighbor’s dog through the fence.  Katie lacks confidence in unfamiliar surroundings but warms up with kind leadership. (To put it plainly, she’s a scaredy cat). Katie CANNOT be adopted to a home in the hustle and bustle of the city as she is too nervous around that much commotion.  She would do better in a suburban home, or a city home tucked away from the busy streets. Katie is a class A cuddler and even likes to rest her head on your chest. Katie is housetrained and crate trained. (Her crate door is rarely closed, but she chooses to go in it on her own.).  Katie’s forever home will need to have a bit of patience as she gets used to her new home over the first few weeks. Her foster home used the following words to describe her: Sweet, Adorable, Friendly, Total Love.
