Leonardo’s Story

History: Leo was surrendered to CACC during a CRISP shift (https://www.crispchicago.com/) when his family could no longer care for him.

About: Leonardo has two big loves in his life: Snuggles and Snacks.  Leo is a low-maintenance, lower energy, happy-go-lucky, easy going senior-ish guy.  He is being fostered with multiple other dogs of varying ages/sizes/energy levels and he gets along pretty well with everyone.  Leo would be a good option for an apartment or a condo because he’s a fairly quiet boy. He is also crate trained, but his foster mom doesn’t always make him stay in it while she’s gone because he’s a good boy outside of his crate too.  Leo isn’t being fostered with any children, but he did meet his foster mom’s 13 yr old niece and he loved her. We have no reason to believe he would have any issues with children of any age. Leo would likely do ok with a confident/assertive cat.  He is currently being fostered with a cat but he likes to chase her on occasion. Leo is a great dog who will make a fantastic companion for his forever family!
