History: Maude was an owner surrender to an animal control facility. Frannie is her sister, but they do not need to be adopted together.
About: Maude is currently sharing a room with her sister Frannie, and a senior male cat and everyone gets along really well. Maude seems to get along with everyone that gets along with her: people, cats, and dogs. While we don’t know if Maude has lived with dogs in the past she has met the foster home’s pug from a distance on a few occasions and seemed neither upset nor overly interested. Maude seems to enjoy the other cats and will often rub up against them and snuggle/sleep with them.
While Maude is not overly playful she will occasionally half-heartedly bat at a wand toy. Maude will rub up against her foster mom and love to sit next to her for attention. One of Maude’s favorite hobbies is to watch the birds and squirrels outside the windows.
Maude can be a bit shy at first but once she gets comfortable she is very friendly, chatty, and loves attention. We think Maude would be ok being adopted into a home with children as long as she is given some time to warm up to everyone she isn’t expected to run and play.
Maude’s foster mom used the following words to describe her: Perfect, Sensitive, and Talkative. She is really just a sweet gentle cat who can be a tad shy at the beginning. She is incredibly sweet and kind and would never mean anyone any harm.
