Walter’s Story

History:  Walter was surrendered to CACC because his family could no longer care for him.

About:  Walter is a very easy going guy.  He’s kind of a big dog in a small dog package.  He doesn’t do typical small dog things like demand to sit on your lap, sleep in your bed or love to be carried, but he does always want to be close to you.  Worth noting he does like to sleep in bed if you invite him, but he generally just puts himself to bed in his own spot. Walter loves to go for walks and he is very good on leash and knows sit very well. He is being fostered with two other dogs and a cat and he gets along well with everyone.  He interacts a bit with the other dogs and loves to follow them around and be where they are, but he doesn’t bother them or want to play too often. The cat he lives with is very confident with dogs so he will seek Walter out to hang out and they have even played a bit. Walter is a very spry and active 10 year old, so don’t expect a bump on a log with this guy. He is not destructive when left out so his foster home does not crate him, but he does bark and cry a bit when they leave.  Walter would be a great companion for someone who is looking for a well behaved walking buddy and house shadow.
